Functionality
Expand, Coordinate, Connect...
Why Interoperability?
- Communicate among different type of equipment and or devices
- Increase coverage
- Migration towards common platforms and or converge devices
- Back-up and/or communication system redundancy
Interoperability Components
Most interoperability systems require the following components:
- A device per system to link, so it can be used as communication interface
- A bridge that connects both systems
Unifying Several Channels
Most interoperability systems require a single bridge per channel
Loading Balance
When designing an interoperable system, it is important to consider system loading balance, remember that you are aggregating subscribers to an existing system, if a balance is not considered you may suffer channel saturation
In this picture, the total calculation was 75, as cellular devices will not be connected continuosly
